Welcome back to another edition of “Eat Live Love San Fernando Valley.” In this episode, we’re at Fab Hot Dogs in Reseda to check out some of their delicious creations. I was joined by Walter Lee to talk about the history of Fab Hot Dogs. They’ve been providing delectable dogs, burgers, and more for the past 12 years here in the SFV.

You can find a hot dog anywhere, but you can only find Fab hot dogs here; they ship them in from the east coast. They sell your traditional all-beef dogs as well as “rippers”—natural casing hot dogs with beef and pork that are deep fried until they “rip” apart. You won’t find a ripper in many places around these parts.

There are many different options at Fab Hot Dogs. The Carolina Slaw Dog is made with the all-beef dog, mustard, homemade chili, and homemade coleslaw. There’s also the Texas Burrito Dog, which comes with two all—beef hot dogs wrapped in a tortilla with chili, cheese, onions, and Fritos. What a combination! Watch me sample both at 3:50 in the video above.

“You won’t find another “ripper” anywhere near here.”

Another menu item Fab Hot Dogs is known for is their french fries. They’re cut and fried fresh, tossed in garlic, house-made ranch, sriracha, crushed pepper, and parsley.

If you want to learn more about Fab Hot Dogs and check out their menu, visit their website. If you have any other questions for me or want to recommend a local business for our next episode, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
