Where can you find one of the best burgers and one of the best brunch spots in the valley at the same place? Right here at Main Kitchen Cafe in Granada Hills. Main Kitchen Cafe is one of my favorite brunch spots in the SFV and has been since it opened seven years ago.

Courtland Miller is a food business veteran, working with his wife in corporate food and beverage for many years. One day, they decided to go out on their own and open a catering kitchen. However, they quickly realized that they needed supplemental income while they waited for orders to start coming in, so they put a couple of tables in, came up with a breakfast menu, and the rest is history!

Over the course of the last seven years, the menu has constantly evolved. It started with traditional breakfast items with a slight twist, but now they’re going all over the world adapting to all the latest culinary trends.

One of those adaptations is the brunch burger, which I tried on my recent visit. It’s an Angus chuck beef patty with sauteed red onion, heirloom tomato, honey-cured bacon, and melted cheddar cheese all mixed together. That gooey, delicious mixture tops the burger, as does a runny fried egg, arugula, and Thousand Island dressing. It’s all presented on a vegan bun, too!

At 2:30 in the video above, check out the preparation for the brunch burger and fries which I sample at 3:07. It was so delicious. The runny egg makes it messy, but also adds a rich depth of flavor. Everything finds a way of blending together with a really juicy burger. If you like burgers, breakfast, brunch, or just good food in general, come on down to Main Kitchen Cafe in Granada Hills. They’re located on Chatsworth St. just west of Balboa Blvd. on the north side.

If you know someone who’d like a burger like this, make sure you share this video with them. If you have suggestions of future restaurants for us to visit in the SFV or any real estate-related questions, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
