Today on Eat Live Love San Fernando Valley we explore the best of the Porter Ranch Farmers Market taking you on a vibrant journey.

As we stroll through the market, the first stop catches our eye – a stall offering all the French baked goods. The aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air.

Boule de Pain: A charismatic personality, with a hint of a French accent, showcases an array of traditional French pastries. “If you try one thing today, make it this croissant,” he says, pointing to a golden, flaky masterpiece. The famous baguette, he claims, is not to be missed. His passion for French cuisine is infectious, and it’s clear why Boule de Pain is a market favorite.

Zenstax: Sari Kern, with her vibrant pink hair, introduces us to Zenstax, her innovative plant-based pancake mix. She explains, “We’ve packed every batter with superfoods, making it a healthier option that’s ready to cook.” The flavors she mentions – guava strawberry, double dark chocolate, and Blue Hawaii – sound like a dream. Scott Himelstein says, “My kids are obsessed with these pancakes. It’s a breakfast revolution!”

La Maison Gray Home and Garden: We wander to a stall surrounded by the lush greenery of home and garden products. Matt, the owner, talks about his coconut soy candles and bird seeds with a gentle pride. His gardener soap, made with essential oils, seems like the perfect end-of-day treat for anyone with a green thumb.

The adventure wouldn’t be complete without trying some of the local cuisines ourselves.

Bao Bao Express: Scott opts for steam buns and dumplings, each bite bursting with flavor. “We’re so lucky to have access to such incredible food at our local market,”

The Valley Hive: Our final stop is with Danny from The Valley Hive in Chatsworth, who introduces us to an assortment of local honeys. “Each one has its own story,” he says, offering samples that taste of the Valley’s diverse floral landscapes.

As our day at the Porter Ranch Farmers Market comes to a close, I’m reminded of the importance of supporting local vendors. The market is not just a place to shop; it’s a vibrant community hub where food, culture, and passion come together. Have you visited the Porter Ranch Farmers Market?
